FESTIVAL FAQs

  • No, the performances are free and open to all.

    We encourage you to RSVP so that we can keep you informed with performance updates.

  • No! Feel free to bring blankets/ cushions to sit on the artificial turf, or camping/ folding chairs to sit behind the artificial turf area. VIP seating is also available for all performances with reservations.

  • ADA parking will be available directly beside the performance site and the site is fully wheelchair accessible.

    ASL interpretation will be provided on Saturday 9/28.

    Audio description and Haptic Access tours available on Saturday 09/28:

    • For blind and visually impaired audience members, BANDALOOP partners with Gravity Access Services  to offer live audio description and haptic access tours for selected performances. Audio description is a live audio track spoken by a professional audio describer to audience members with visual impairments through a wireless headset system. It provides clear and engaging descriptions of the meaningful visual details of a performance.

    • Haptic access tours start at 6:30pm and are a live 20-30 minute pre-show tour that allows patrons to experience—through touch and their own movement— the space, performers, costumes and objects in addition to key movement elements in the performance.

  • We will have light snacks available at the bar, but if you’re looking to grab dinner in Alameda Point post or pre-show, check out the food trucks at Almanac Brewery (serving until 9pm) or Faction Brewing (serving until 8pm), or reserve a table at Saltbreaker. Otherwise, you’ll find a large selection of restaurants and bars on Webster Street.

GETTING THERE

 

To find the Hangar 25 event site on GPS, search for Urban Legend or Dashe Cellars. Both wineries are located inside the building the performance will be on.

Free Parking will be available directly beside the performance site.

AC Transit line 96 connects 12th Street & Lake Merrit Bart to Alameda Point and stops within 10 minutes walk of the performance site.

San Francisco Bay Ferry service runs to Seaplane Lagoon terminal (Thursday & Friday) and to Main Street terminal (Thursday, Friday & Saturday).

The City of Alameda is providing a free shuttle on Friday and Saturday evening to transport audience members from the Ferry terminal to the performance site and back. The shuttle will be ADA accessible.

SHUTTLE DETAILS

Friday

On Friday before the performance, we will be providing transportation from the Seaplane Lagoon, Main St Ferry, and Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle to the performance site. Pick-up times correspond to ferry schedules. See the graphic below for specific times for this pick-up service. 

After the performance, we will be providing transportation to the Main St Ferry to meet the final run of the day departing at 8:50 PM, to the bus stops at Atlantic and Webster St, and to the 12th Street BART Station.

Saturday

The Island Hopper provides free shuttle services around Alameda Point until 7:30 PM on weekends, on the route it provides connections from the Main Street Ferry and the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle to Hangar 25, breweries, and other attractions on Alameda Point. After the performance, we will be providing transportation to the Main St Ferry to meet the final run of the day departing at 8:50 PM, to the bus stops at Atlantic and Webster St, and to the 12th Street BART Station.

NOTE: We are unable to make the shuttle service available on Thursday night, but anyone able to bring their bike on the ferry will find that it is less than 10 minutes on a bike from the ferry terminal to the site.
